SPONGE help ... any thoughts.

I am finding more and more sponge growing under rocks - etc in my 180 reef. My 75 G refugium has none.
I occasionally clear away sponge when it seems to interfer with normal open/close of my corals - mainly Ricordias on a Tonga Branch ...
Should I be concerned - it just seems to be showing up everywhere ... is there a solution?
My water quality has been a constant - lighting good - flow good -
Anyone have an experience to share?
Thanks -

if the sponge starts encroaching on a coral just pull the rock out of the water for a few minutes and scrape of all you can, the prolonged air contact should kill most types of sponge, your live rock can tolerate being out longer than the sponge can. just dont let your rock dry out.

I have a lot of sponges growing too... blue ones with big holes, black ones, white ones, and one big green one.. The green one got very large and I dicided to move it, not remove it, just move it, well... several little pieces styaed behind and now I have multiple green sponges.. they grow fast and spread easy, that's all I can tell ya.
