Sponge??

I posted in the LPS forum but got no response so I will post here. My torch coral has a pineapple sponge right in the middle of it. I can't tell if it is bothering the torch or not. I can only see it at night once the torch is closed up. Should I try to remove it or just leave it as is?

Looks perfectly happy and healthy to me. I also, would leave it.
