Sponges Goronians

I was thinking of getting a sponge and gorgonian. Anyone know what the care is for these? I know the need zooplanktons are they live or are they packaged frozen/dried. I thought they would add some good color to the tank w/o going into corals.

Make sure you have a semi-low flow area in your tank. They don't like high flow or high intensity lights. I have never head of them being packaged dried. I know that sponges can't touch air at all. Make sure you float the bag and then submerge it before you take the sponge out.

you might get a better response if you post this in the "reef tanks" forum, or the "Corals and trading" forum. We're all beginners here, so we're not too familiar with these.

Here's my purple fan. I feed him plankton, he is at the bottom with just alittle flow to keep algae from growing, algae will kill gorgs.

I would skip the sponge, but that is only my opinion. I have never lost anything in my tank until I got a sponge. It slowly started turning a clear whitish color on the surface. After doing some research I found that it was dying, so I tossed it.
They are listed as difficult to keep. I had a difficult time balancing a high flow area with low light (I have mh). I used a clean toothbrush to clean off the cyano that grew on it, which may have led to its demise.

I've only got 65W in my 37g so maybe that wouldn't be bad. Just curious did the hermit crabs and snails crawl on it and clean it
