Ok so I would like this thread to serve two purposes.
The first is in the form of a question: Can anybody provide a additional internet sorces for sponge information?
marecodotorg is a good source for indentification of species found in BC.
-- also has some very informaticve atricles.
The second is a request for all those that keep or have interesting sponges in their tanks to please post pictures. Any additional information that people think is helpful please post away~!

well actually I can provide tons of information on the over 5000 species of Porifera. but one rule does not work for all. if you have a specific sponge in mind I can give you more specific information, including an incomplete article that I have written on marine sponges. Currently I have a red ball sponge a red tree sponge, yellow encrusting sponge, black ball sponge, purple encrusting sponge and a couple others I have not identified yet.

Awsome reefkprZ~! I would love to read your article~!
I am extremely interested in the two and three tone/colored encrusting sponges that I have seen but have had a very hard time finding any information on them...Granted I have yet to expend a substantial amount of time surfing, but I hope to spend a good majority of the next few weeks doing this. I understand that it is alomst impossible to indentify most sponges unless your an expert but I hope to locate something that will help me better understand exactly what im looking for~!

Thanks for the info

I think these are some hitchiker sponges on my rock. I do not have any information about them and I am not entirely sure they are sponges, but its my guess
