sponges

Hello i was changing my filters and noticed several sponge like things on my bio pad......are these sponges and is it ok to put them in the tank or should i just leave them on the bio pad?
Or are they even sponges......lol:help:

They are prolly Q-tip sponges. They are not harmful, except that they can clog your filter.

If they are sponges and you exposed them to oxygen, chances are they are already dead.... so your call
