Any sponge is easy. Just make sure there is plenty of water flow and never, ever let it hit the air, that will kill it.
Also to much light will clog its pores up with algae, so no direct light. Put them uder a ledge or in a cave. Feed the tank once a week with microvert or feeding frenzy..something along those lines. They are filter feeders.
I love the color they add.
yeah i actually created a couple hangovers with the rock i have right now. i am building as i go cause of money so there will be some more places built for the sponges. One of the caves is right by my hydor 2 powerhead. Awesome
Sounds good. Try and set up your power head to flow over and around the area, just pointed at it isn't the same as good flow. Leave room in the back so water can flow over it.
Try to angle it , going at it from the side so to speak.
Happy Reefing
ok. awesome. i actually think i might scrap my powerheads and build a closed loops system as well as a sump/refuge system once i figure out how to do it (build the closed loop). so that way i might have a more powerful system and i will end up with enough flow for the sponges and other corals and inverts i plan on getting. i might try and use my rio 1700 for the sump or closed loop. i dunno.
