spots in the sand

this is my cuzins 28 gallon hqi nano it is cycling now and he is getting brownish spots in his sand what is that????

2 things how much longer should he wait?? and in mine like i posted before i just put the live sand yesterday will that happen to mines to becuz my tank was already established

it may happen alittle bit to yours..since the sand is brand new...I'd wait a week or so before doing anything crazy...
tell him to test his water, if nitrates are 0, its ready to stock...

today i boughts hermet crabs and some little snails that go in the sand is that to crazy

I'm kinda against hermits these days..
I like mixing astreas, 1 turbo snail, cerith snails, and nassarius snails...
hermits REALLY love cerith shells and ceriths are good for clearing sandbeds. Tongan fighting conchs are good for an established tank as long as they have plenty to eat.

i also got this big crab that looks like a regular crab i dont know its name but they told me it cleans up pretty good
