spots on glass cover

What type of cleaner can I use on the glass cover of my tank. It is stained with appears to be water stains or something. I think if I could get it clean the light would come through it better into the tank.
Anyone with ideas ?

tank side or outside of glass? Can you take th top off to clean it away from the tank?

Try white vinegar. Remove the glass and clean it away from the tank. Rinse it thoroughly with water before re-installing. You don't want to get vinegar in the tank as it can greatly affect the PH.

I think it is on the outside and inside of top. I can remove the top easily and clean it. So whatever you reccomend I rinse well before I put it back on the top of my DT.

5050 vinegar water solution, let it sit a bit for the tough parts. Then rinse well with tap water and dry.
