Is the Spotted Garden Eel ok in Reef tanks?

Tricky question. In theory, you could design a reef around the garden eel, but just to add one to a generic reef tank, no. Garden eel's have very specific requirements, such as sandbeds of at least 8", and very passive tankmates. They are definitely not for the average aquarist.
