Spotted Naso lituratus

I bought Naso lituratus tang today, and he appears to be spotted. I'm not sure if he is sick or not, but I got him anyways in hopes to nurse him back to health. I'm pretty sure he has some kind of disease. I put him in a hospital tank, and begun a copper treatment, just to be safe. He is eating an all, but I'm still a little worried. Any advice would be appreciated. If he survives he is worth the price.

My Naso gets white splotches when he is upset/stressed. It's not ick.
I really wouldn't treat with copper unless you know for sure it's ick. The cure might be worse with the disease.
They love algie and if you just got him today I'm sure he just needs some quiet time. Maybe turn off the lights so he can acclimate to his new surroundings.
There really may not be anything wrong with him.
If you want to iosolate him in a hospital tank for a bit to make sure he doesn't have any diseases that's fine, but please don't start treating for anything unless you know for sure what it is.
I've learned with saltwater fish sometimes the less you do the better and small baby steps are best.
Good luck!

I knew from the start something wasn't right about him, and the copper treatement has gotten rid of most of the spots. It wasn't ick, but looked like some scaley disease. Whatever it was he looks like he will be as good as new.
