Spotted Sweat Lips fish

Before 12 days, i added spotted sweat lips in my DP tank........ she is taking food since the day she came to my DP tank.
i dont know for last 2 3 days, she is swimming on upper surface of the DP tank..though she is taking feed....when i give her food, she takes and then again she goes up..................even when i switched off my DP tank lights as well but she is still up .
please advise why she is doing this and how to getrid of this?

Did you QT the fish?
Is your tank cycled?
Test for ammonia, drop an airline into the tank to help raise the dissolved O2 level, and answer the questions above.

my Fishe is QT and tank is recycled.
i check my amonia every after 4 5 days....last time i checked 2 days back, amonia was zero...
what could be the reason?

Is there a reason you test for NH3 so often? That's a bit odd for a tank that you say is cycled.
What are your other parameters (temp, pH, nitrite, nitrate)?
Is the fish in QT or the DT now?
How long have you had the fish? If it's 12 days, and it's currently in the DT, it hasn't been QT'd.
How long has the tank been running?
Did you drop an airline into the tank like I suggested? If so, did it help? If not, I strongly suggest that you add the airline. Typically, a fish that acts like yours is either in polluted water, has infested gills (******, flukes, etc), or the water has low dissolved O2 levels.
BTW, sweetlips aren't very hardy on a good day, and that cute little fish will end up being a 2' fish with a different coloration (white with black spots...you're seeing its juvenile coloration right now) that will require something on the order of 300 gallons.

currently it is in DT ....i m surprised because my 2 other fishes like Naso and yellow tang are swimming down freely....my sweet lips is under the water...her mouth is not coming out water due to breath......i have strong wave maker and motor as well........currently my sweat lips is deep inside the water.............TOUCWOOD>....she is again grazing the rocks..................TOUCHWOOD.........
