Has anyone ever had success with these fish? This site says that they are difficult to care for and that they should be kept in groups. Do they get along with larger fish like tangs and angels? Do they get along with smaller fish like clowns? Would they harm coral? Thanks for the info. Its such an amazing fish.

The beautiful Spotted Sweetlips that you see now is just a juvenile. When they grow up they get very big, ugly, mean, mean, and just plain evil. In general the Sweetlips family should be avoided. They get very large and even when they are juveniles they are very territorial and aggressive. I agree that they are quite pretty, but its not really worth losing your other fish. Especially when it grows up and loses those colors that made you buy it!!! lol Good luck!

I agree with the above. The good thing, though, is that it is rare for them to survive very long.
