Spray bar questions

I would like to change the water flow of my 75 gal aquarium. I am considering using a PVC rotary spray bar on the return flow from the sump. Is this a good idea and where can I find a rotary spray bar? Thanks

Spray bars will change the direction of your water flow but you will also loose some of the flow rate due to water escaping through the several holes in the spray bar versus the one large hole in in the end of your return nozzle you have now. Why don't you just change (swivel) your existing return nozzle? Spray bars also limit you to either front to back or side to side water movement. I have my nozzle from my filter going from the left rear of my tank going diagonally to the front right of my tank. I have a powerhead there going from fron right to rear left creating disruptions in the watermovement and a good amount of surface movement.

I use a spray bar on the backside of my tank aimed downward, really helps flush out debris from behind my LR. You can also aim the water upwards as it's supposed to creat an upflow, but I find when you aim the flow down it helps much better with flushing the LR. My powerheads create enough surface turnover
