SPS and MH

hey guys,
for Xmas i got a MH light as a present. i was able to set it up on my20 gal tank.

anyone know anythign about this light ? is it good for SPS's?
i was also looking into getting the 14000k bulb i heard its "bluer" is that true also
anyways is therea specific type of SPS i cna only get or all the possibilitys open for me
ive had my tank set up for about 8 months now everythign is doing great . i had PC lights before so how should i go about transitioning the coral i have now ( i have zoo'z a leather and a hammer coral)
sorry for all the questions but i know i can get some good answers here

I do not know this fixture, but 150 W MH light will open up all options as far as SPS for a 20 gallon tank.
14 K bulb is typically "bluer", but this depends on manufacturer of the bulb.
birdsnest will not be a problem.
You will want to light acclimate your corals.

what do you mean light acclimate corals
the guy at the store just said run it for half the time i run my PC's
is that right?

Some people use time, and some use distance from the tank/corals. (I more frequently hear distance from tank)
Over the course of a few weeks the new light should typically be on the same length of time as the old light.
You are acclimating, so they do not go into light shock.

ah well i lowered the corals tot he sand and shortened the time should i move them back up to where they were before?

I think what you did is fine.
After a week, I would say you could increase the amount of time you have the lights on.
How long do you have them on now that you have reduced the time?
The corals you have listed do not usually need intense lighting, but you can play a little with there location.
I would not put them high in the tank directly under the bulb though.
