sps coral shipping

I was just wondering if sps corals seem to bleach a little when they are shipped or if they are hard to ship. I just got some a few days ago and It was almost completely bleached, and a whitish color that can only mean one thing. Looked like on the rest of the coral it was pealing like bark off a tree. Do sps corals do this or did I just get a bad one?

They may turn brown for a while and then color up after a week possibly might take a month or two for the color to return. But to turn white is not a good sign. Do you see any polyp extension?

Probably a goner. maybe they got too hot or something during shipping. Where did you get them from? I would see if you can get some kind of credit or something. In general, the tips should be whitish in color, and never should it look like it's peeling off. Bad sign.
