My first SPS, Birdsnest, after 1.5 month of growth.

This picture was taken on August 11th....

And the next two pictures were taken this evening, September 30th......

Left side, see all the new buds!!!

For my lighting I have 2x250W SE MHs with Mini-Luminarc Reflectors. This frag is at the top of my rock and in heavy flow. I think he's happy, wouldn't you say?

Looks like great growth! But I have no SPS experience so... BTW I love your tank, it isn't covered with coral but you have nice pieces and it just looks good! There are tanks that have lots of coral and don't look as good as yours.

How far down from the light is it?
I ask because I may be upgrading to 250s in my 50g tall.

The frag is about 22" from the bulb, the bulb is about 14" from the water. I only have the rockwork half way to the top of my tank. I wanted to leave plenty of swimming room for my tangs. I have a tall canopy so that's why I went with 250W instead of 150W.
