lol, we have this "squirrl" proof bird feeder, and guess who gets all the food?? the squirrls!

IMO, established squirrelfish will eat just about anything and can outcompete lots of other fish. They can be somewhat nasty. I would only keep them in semi and aggressive setups with large fish. Silversides, krill, shrimp, squid...just about anything is suitable and appropriate...but always diversify.
