I just built the frame for a 120 gallon tank and want to know if I should put plywood on the top - pro's and con's

i chose to put a piece of ply ontop and then a piece of hard foam ontop of that. Its mainly personal preferance, but if you used 2x4's and didnt put the crown side down it would help level it.
