the "tenticle" parts are more a yellow color but the center of them is green... almost like an inverted gsp?

Its more than likely Green Star Polyps. You can take your common perception of what "GSP" is and put it under different lighting and it will look different. There are also different color morphs available.

Naw man, green star polyps are very easy to take care of and eventually will be growing like wildfire. Good luck.

I dropped a rock on a frag of GSP last night and it still opened up. I think they are impossible to kill.

I have a storage tank for LR, no lighting, just waterflow. I put some LR in there about 2 months ago and I just noticed a 3" patch of GSP, still alive, not happy but it's open...
