star polyps

i am new to every thing but fish and live rock. i just put a star polyps in my tank is it ok to be close to a power head i meen not real close but it is blowing it a little bit.thanx

As long as it's not in the direct path of the powerhead it should be OK. Just keep an eye on them and if they don't open up soon, Move Them away! :)

to be honest, i have mine in pretty good current (not TOO close to powerheads, but in direct current), and mine do excellent. they seem to open up better in the current than with less. just my observation. i got green and purple polyps. <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" />

Hi,
GSP appreciate a good stong current, mine are in the confluence of my two powerheads and love it. Give them a few days and then start to experiment with placement. Indirect stonge current works very well with mine, but watch out once they get established they will start to encrust whatever they can get a hold of :)
