Star transfer?

I posted this once before but I never got an answer. When getting new livestock, I really hate putting someone else's water into my tank. I know it's heavily diluted after the acclimation, but I guess it's just the thought. How do you go about transferring the starfish to your tank without putting any of the old water into your tank? Getting a couple soon and not sure about the method.

Pull the starfish out of the water you dripped it from, and place it gently in your tank. Some people buy into the whole "No starfish outside of water". I have handled many and never had a problem with them.
