starfish and hermit

do any of you know if a pretty large hermit crab, maybe about 3-4 inches wide, will pose a danger to a starfish? i.e. will it see it as a potential food source?

I have personally never heard any hermit pose a threat to starfish and I have seen the jumbo hermits in tanks with them so I guess it would be ok. Not 100% sure though but HTH.

What sort of seastar is it? Personally, yes, I would consider a large hermit crab to be a potential threat to a seastar, especially a more delicate species such as Linckia. Big hermits can be monsters.
