be careful with cc stars, then will eat snails and they need to be fed meat and algea.
Though I don't know if it'll bother the anenome, you don't need an anenome to have a clownfish. You do need proper lighting and a mature tank for an anenome.

I'm sorry but these starfish do not eat anemones. Your anemone must have died a different way because CC starfish do not prey on cnidarians of any type. I had a CC starfish with multiple anemones and everything was fine.
However, how long has your tank been setup bdawls and what do you know about anemones?
cc stars will eat anything. I found him on top of my anemone with his stomach out. The day before my anemone was in perfect shape. Just because your starfish hasnt ate your anemones doesnt mean they will not. I know that they can and will eat anemones.
The only problem I`ve seen cc starfish with anemones is with common, flower , or rock anemones as they don`t sting like LTAs , BTAs , sebae , carpets , and other bigger anemones . If any of these lets a star on them , they are probly going down hill anyways .
The star was a lot bigger than the anemone. It was about twice as big as the anemone. I dont have a pic of it, but here is a pic of the anemone shortly before it was killed. It looks healthy to me.
Im not the only one that thinks that cc stars can kill anemones. Do a search about anemones and cc stars.
My problem started when a bought a large turbo snail. The turbo snail ate every piece of algea in my tank. At first i was happy, but then the starving starfish ate my anemone. After that one of my hermit crabs killed the snail. I saw the crab atacking the snail and did not stop him. I was glad to be rid of the oversized turbo.
So the moral of the story is keep your star well fed and he will most likely not kill your anemone, but if you neglet to feed him right..... look out.
Your anemone is a small healthy H. Crispa. It's kind of weird that your Crispa decided to perch on the rocks instead of the sandbed where they should be.
That's a pretty small anemone so I can see a large CC starfish being able to kill it. I do still however believe that a large anemone is not going to be threatened by a CC starfish no matter what size it is.
