ok i put LR in my 29bicube yesterday, now i have 2 very small (less than pinky nail size) starfish...6 legs and i want to make a nano reef, do i need to get these out??? can i put them in a 55G FOWLR... i will try to get pics

don't see pics, but there are several hitchiker starfish that never get bigger than your fingernail. this sounds like one of them. But we need a pic. they probaly will do great in your nano tank though

next ?? will they even live, i just assembeled the tank 2 days ago, put in the rock yesterday, so it has not even begun to cycle, and there is no food in the tank other than what came on the rocks...

Oh heck yeah, they'll live. They are asterina stars and will multiply like crazy. I had a lot of them in my 37gal. I guess they're beneficial...or at least not harmful. Cute little critters. Some have a weird number of legs and others just look like little stars. In this picture, the bigger one on the right was about the size of a dime, maybe smaller. The one on the left obviously much smaller. Do these look like the stars you have?
