I was thinking... Since starfish are very delicate, amazing creatures of so many types that are each so different in their own way ie.. reef safe, not algae eaters etc.., i was wondering since i've seen so many very good starfish questions if anyone else here feels they should have their own forum. Let's hear some thoughts

really, i am on alot of salt water aquaria forums, and an invert forum would be the best, cuz a forum based ONLY on starfish wouldnt have much to offer in reality, but open it up to all inverts and you'll get alot more variety and be best. Seahorse forum, invert forum, those are the ones that we could do with, although im quite happy with the way its at right now. maybe a pico subforum in nano, but that'd be it.

There would still be seastar posts in all the forums, just like invert threads can realistically be posted in all forums (can this go with predators, is this OK in a reef, I am a newbie can I keep this, can I keep this with such and such fish, can I keep this in a nano tank....all valid in existing forums)

I know that. I'm just saying most people ask the seastar questions in the reef forum already.

the biggest problem in adding new forums, most of the time they would be so slow almost no one would use them, I think the existing forums pretty much cover everything. if SWF.com over specialized all its forums they wouldnt nearly be as quick and I think popularity while high at first would quickly wane as the forum slowed down. while having specialized forums is kind of nice ever noticed how slow the nano forum moves on some days, it can take a week to get an answer to even a simple question, just because most people want to show off their nano and not answer questions (I'm not bashing anyone this is just something i noticed when I reccomended someone post their question there). over specialization is like micro managing, generally not very prodictive in the long run.
