I bought 40 lbs of Live Rocks the other day and put them in my tank to cycle. Then a few hours later I saw this little guy on my glass. He definately has 6 legs. Just wanted to know what type of Starfish this is...
That's an asterina starfish. Good and beneficial. Some people don't like them but I've always taken the approach that if it's not going to hurt anything then why get rid of it? Very prolific breeders as well.
don't worry about it, it will be fine...i've got about 400 in my 90 right now, and this is after taking about 200 out a few days ago...
personally...i'd get rid of it before it breeds heh
It's a personal preference with these little guys. They really don't hurt anything but some people find them to be an eyesore. It's really up to you if you'd like to keep him or not.
