Starfish in a semi predator tank.

I have a clown trigger, huma trigger and red corris wrasse in the same tank.
I was contemplating on adding some kind of a starfish in there as a part of clean up crew. What do you think my chances are on keeping him alive?
Any recommendations?

I have Clown trigger, Humu humu, and Niger.. my clean up crew consists of: 3 Chocolate chip stars (get large ones), Large strawberry hermit crab (mine is 5 inches long), large turbo snails, knobby star (he stays in my overflow), a lot of little hermits (they've learned to come out at night). Hope this helps a bit. OHH and if/when you do add a CUC do it at night.

Tiffany - I'm so sorry, I don't know how I missed this thread when I made it. xP
Unfortunately, I think I stunted my fish's growth. I was naive to believe that LFS clerks words are words of heavenly wisdom and stocked my tank inappropriately.
All is well though, everyone gets along well and they are healthy. However, my CT stopped growing since late last year. She's about 3 and some years old and she's about 3.5" I believe... She eats like a champ and I love watching her because she's so active and playful. (she induces snow storm in my tank with humu and grabs snail shells by the tip, drag it all the way top of the tank and drops it and does it repeatedly)
CuC add at night, check! Will try to do that once my LFS has them on sale for .39c each. (they have it once a month or so)
I'm thinking bout adding a blue star fish and heard that it's reef safe (i have decided to put some mushrooms since I last posted) what are your thoughts on this?
Personally, I'm hanging in here. Was out there for a while because it was my passed son's 2nd birthday and my mind was just boggled....
Honestly, I think this hobby is one of few things that's keeping me sane.

IMO those will pester starfish, if not eat them. I blamed my lunar wrasse for the longest time for terrorizing my snails, starfish, shrimp etc. I took my lunar back to the LFS because i thought he was too aggressive for my tank mates. I think i was wrong! Here to find out, it is my two clarkii clowns doing the damage. I watched one eat my cleaner shrimp the other day..weird right? I mean they are fed daily (sometimes twice). I have heard that clarkiis are generally a little more aggressive than other clowns, but they should be reef/invertebrate safe...so the fish you have, I think you will def have a problem with! Also, after my lunar was gone, my starfish also disappeared..never found him! dang clowns!

Dang that really sucks about your CT!!! Had she completely changed to adult colors? My brat is about 4 inches and still changing. As far as a blue starfish, imo, they would pester the poor thing. I have a knobby in my tank as well that they don't seem to bother.

Yea, she's full adult color. She's really mellow and she's my prized fish in my tank.
My son was so fascinated with her and her with him. I'm pretty sure that she thought his little finger was her food so she was chasing it religiously.
I want to get 150 gallon but trying to see the space in my town house for it. I just can't get rid of my fish... not after what happened.. I know it's bit selfish and cruel and I know that I should be ashamed as an responsible owner but I'm just biting on my lip and taking it one day at a time for now...
