Starfish Troubles

My blue starfish is secreting white stuff from its legs, and the tips of its legs seem to be slowly falling off. I had one other starfish with the same problem, and it eventually died. Any advice? Thanks.

Welcome to the board angie, sorry about your star. It does sound like its dieing, Do you see it moveing at all? This will create a problem for your hole tank if you let it parrish compleatly. How about telling us about your tank, water readings Nitrate and so on, has the tank been treated with copper?. Let us know all about the tank..fixit
