Anything meaty will do...shrimp, shrimp pellets, squid, silversides...and yes, they are a known predator in the wild. May or may not do this in captivity...but it is a known behavior and has been described for captive animals. So if it is a big concern, I would not get a green brittlestar.

Hard to say. The Green Brittles that more of an 'olive' color are known to be more aggressive in captivity. If you don't have any 'sleeper' fish, I wouldn't even worry about the Brittle.
