Starfish?

Ok I was feeding my bta some mysis shrimp and then i noticed a little starfish right by him...What kind is he? Do they harm anything?

possibly an asterina.... usually okay, but keep an eye on it around corals. they can be "nippers".

your BTA is small and the asterina seems really close to it .... just keep an eye on it.

man your one lucky son of a B. you got a bta and a star fish for free.... that was one good choice of rock you had there!

Dude where did you get that rock from. I got rock and all I got with it is Aptasia. I tell you what lets trade anenomes lol yeah right.

that BTA looks seriously bleached.. the star looks too big to be an asterina, unless that bta is the size of a dime

I definitely agree on that point. But I do think the anemone is just tiny...and in bad shape....maybe it is a bleached majano. Every time I hear of "a hitch hiker bubble tip" it is often majano. But hard to know. If it is a relatively sick anemone than the star definitely might go for it.

Yeah the bta is the size of a dime and the starfish has been away from it...Should i feed the bta every 3 days or so?

feeding it won't make it healthy or grow. it needs good lighting, and it may be beyond the point that anything will help it.
