Starry Blenny interesting behavior...

So my Starry Blenny (as I have said in other threads) has decided it would be awesome to occasionally be a bully. I'm pretty sure he did in my Goby, and he occasionally postures around my Flame and Hoevan's Wrasse.

Recently I've seen him do a "swim by" and hit his tail against the sand.

I've read in some places that he might be stirring up food. Any possibility here? He eats great, has 0 lack of color and other than this I've not noticed any odd behavior.

His close cousin, the algae blenny (aka: lawnmower) displays the same behavior. He doesn't actually attack anything, but he definitely acts rambunctious and slaps the sand with his tail. I can't tell you why he does it, as he doesn't eat anything that lives in the sand. I think it's just a display of masculinity...

I just came here to ask the same question about my Midas blenny. I also noticed my scissor tail goby doing the same thing once or twice, but not as often as my Midas blenny!

If they are just fluffing up sand, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If they do it constantly, and especially against the rocks, you may have a parasite issue.
