starting a 20-29 gal tank????

i want to downsize from my 55 gal to one of the obove gallon tanks......i have a protien skimmer,uv steralizer,wet/dry filter with a sump on it,hang on overflow box,rio 2100 return pump..........is there anything i should keep?
what are your suggestions on what i should have?

I don't see any harm in using any of that equipment on a smaller tank. The only concern I would have is the intensity of the UV sterilizer. It could be too powerful for the tank and kill off too much beneficial microbial life.
Also, what would your plans be for lighting?
