This is after I filled it up. I have 35 pounds of rock in there but I haven't aquascaped it yet since I just filled it and its cloudy. I will be aquascaping it tomorrow and will post progression pictures as I go. If anyone has suggestions on livestock let me know. I would love some ideas on fish.

here is a picture with water and rock in. I have 35 pounds in there right now and will be aquascaping it in the morning when everything is settled and I can see in there. I will post pictures as I go and would appreciate any advice espeacially with live stock.

Those are some really nice systems! I really like the brushed aluminum pendent too. Very modern look to the whole unit, keep us updated!
What are your plans for live stock?

just beware of:
evap- going topless can quickly suck off water.
airborne nastys- the last thing you need is some windex, or Glade, or something to land on the water surface.

The system comes with a glass top that is actually on it in the last two pictures. It also has a neat little self top off system I will likely keep the glass top on simply because we have a cleaning lady that comes every week and as you said I don't want her to accidently get cleaning agents in the tank.

I have had a Solana 34 for about 3 months now, and I really like the tank.
I have the Sunpod w/150 hqi light. I found that keeping the glass top on the tank made it too hot. I used eggcrate for a top, and also purchased a 4 unit fan that mounts on the back of the tank to cool it off. I found that going topless, I lost one fish, and didn't want to take a chance on losing anymore. Here is a pic of the fan and the top I made.

Started with the stocking. I have a Scissortail dartfish. I also started with a few frags. I know it is very early for the frags but the rock is well cured and I have another well established tank should it look like the health of them is going south. As far as the rest of the stock list goes I will be adding a True Percula Clownfish as soon as I can get a good specimen. I am also on the look out for a Bluespot Jawfish. The last fish going in will likely be an African Flameback Angel but I am still up in the air with that one. I do think that 4 fish of that size is a good limit to keep the tank stable and coral friendly. Other inhabitants I am looking for are either a Blue or Zanzibar Coral Banded Shrimp. If anyone has any suggestions, thoughts, or concerns let me know like I said I am still up in the air about the fish selection.

Any updated pics? Sounds good so far!
I have my 12gal. nano topless with my viper light and loss my hi-fin red goby. I now only have 2 fish in there, a yellow clown goby and a tail spot blenny. I am not adding any more fish.
