starting over, 125g

OK guys, I doubt if many of you would remeber me. My 125g reef which was doing wonderfully had a melt down in the 112 degree summer this year and I am finnaly ready to move on and re-start my tank.
Since everything died but the live rock, I took the tank apart and put the live rock in a big rubermaid tub in the garage with a skimmer and some NO lights for well, like 6 months now.
I decided I hate the set up of my sump, etc. to hard to work in cause it's too high. In the next week I am going to move the tank back in and setup up a new filter system that is reef worthy and set it up so I can add an in-line chiller at the end of april.
I have millions of questions for you guys.
How should I set up this filter to make it easy to use? I have a nautilus skimmer which I love so I am still planning on using it, the tank also has dual overflows and I am going to use a mag24 as a return pump. I was thinking of using a 20L for a sump since it isn't so high and then setting up a ten gallon refugium on the side. Should I spend the money to buy one of these wet/dry filter sump things? I never used bioballs before, don't want to start now.
Also, any Ideas about what I should do with this tank, I am so nervous after the last crash, it was horrible. I just want to start out real real slow.
Any recomendations on chillers for a 125? something quiet would be nice.
Thanks guys

You dont need the bioballs or bio media. Many people find that they build up nitrates. I am going to remove mine soon.
The 20 gallon sump sounds good. What all are you going to put in it? Be sure to have filter pads somewhere, you dont want a detritus mess in your sump...
Be sure that your fuge return pump isnt much over 400 or so... or else you might end up with macros dieing.

thanks, yeah, I figured I'd do the fuge as an afterthought. Once the skimmer is set up and everything is running, then worry about how to set that up. I was thinking of just using a small pump and an overflow to circulate the fuge from and back to the sump.
I was thinking, I have a HOT magnum filter laying around for running carbon, could I hook that up to the sump to and but the filter thing inside of it instead of using filter pads?
In my setup before, it ran through spounges and those were nothing but trouble, nitrates and stuff unless I cleaned them like every month, which was just a mess, stupid drippy spounges.
The only thing I was really planning on putting in the sump is the nautilus which has a big footprint and the heaters. Should I put in more?
