oh and your anenome is not getting better!!!!!!!!!!!! it doesn't really care about food in less you have some lighting over it........its like feeding your kids but not giving him any water (if this makes sense to you)..............what i would change is get rid of your live rock cause it shouldn't be smelling inless just introduced and also to give the fish back and make a plan like i just said

OK then... Let's start anew. Describe what you currently have... Tank size, lighting, live stock, live rock etc. Not what you're gonna get, but what you ALREADY have!!! Then we can go from there.

Do you realize that the rock that stunk, prolly did so because it needed to be cured. So, first I would recomend re-cycling your tank. If that's already done then you need a clean-up crew. And as you already know, your lighting...

I agree start a new thread with the equipment you will be using on the 125g. and your plans for livestock. We need to know all the filtration and down to the last grain of sand so we can help you get the right stuff.

My mom thinks i should i use my own money i had for the 125. Im getting 3- 24'' lighting units for over the 125. Ill get some at different times. I found out that the replacement bulbs were be around $180! :scared: To get 3- 24'' antics would be chaeper b/c they are 50% off!!!!! So i think im just getting 3- 24'' lighging untis that have 2- 65 watts in each one. Ill be using one of the 24'' lights on my 40 until i get thr 125 running then ill put thet light plus the 2 others im getting on the 125.

You should get more than 2x65 watts over the 40, at least 3x65 watts. May not really matter though because the anemone may die from the tank going through all that. And no the food doesn't make it get better, it needs light.

that lighting is absolutely no where near the amount of light you need ofr that anenome....if you are going to listen get rid of the anenome....getting 65w of actinic is going to do nothing actinic lights hardly have any par ............your going to have to use the money for the 125 to pay for the 40......IMO don't get the 125 and work on the 40 gallon......this hobby cost a ton of money having to spend 180 on replacing lights is nothing (especially if you are making 70 a week like you said).........if you want to do it right then get the right lights and filter.......cascades aren't going to do anything you need a GOOD skimmer for your 125 which is going to cost ALOT of money........come on use your brain and make the right choice

I dont need max. lighting. He said that the 2- 65 watt actinics... Its made by coral life, i think. He said i can get, zoos/ polyps/ and anemone/ bubble corals, and other soft corals. He said neverget clams or other hard corals. He is the owner of the fish store in columbus... Yes the anemone might not live, but now i know never trust my lfs.. go to a larger one where they know more. They might trade it in for a new one if i told them the reason.
