Starting tank

HELP......i need to know what i will need(everything) to get my tank started and other supplies that are helpful.......i have a 55 gallon tank(have lighting and filter and protein skimmer).....................it will be a reef tank

What kind of lighting and skimmer do you have? If you have normal output flourestent strip lights your going to need something different ( power compact, VHO). You will need enough powerheads to equal up to 650 G.P.H at least. If you want a reef I suggest you get some liverock. Use some sand for substrate. You will need a heater, Thermometer, hydrometer, and some good test kits. Someone tell me if I am missing anything. GOOD LUCK
