starting to see green and pink algae

About 2 weeks ago I noticed spots of bright green algae and now today I notice pink spots of algae on my dry rock. I'm pretty excited and assume this means my cycle is almost finished.

What you are seeing is called Coraline Algae. It is a hard algae desired by most. It has no relation to your cycle.

Wow. Your lucky you have coralline already growing. Either you have a large tank or you Dow lot of water changes huh?

I use Walmart rodi water,haha. Also,instant ocean salt and its only a 20 gallon tall with a hob filter and a canister filter. I also use prime when I do water changes.
