Starving moon sponge.

I recently bought a live rock with a moon sponge on it.The sponge got in contact with air which I believe is blocking food from getting to him. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem.

Sorry I can not offer you any help.
I don't know much about sponges - and I am trying to avoid replying to any posts that have the words "red" and "sponge" in them.
If you had mentioned the word "tree" I probably would not even have replied too this one
