LOL...im not a Steelers fan, but I have to disagree... one of your own lineman blocked olhoffen into Palmer... game would have been different with Palmer in there!!!

Sportscenter last night said that the trick play steelers ran yesterday should've never happened. They said it was an illegal formation. I think the the game would've been different if the ref's would've caught that play, and of course palmer. The lineman that fell on his leg felt terrible if you watch the replay it shows the line man shaking his head and putting his hands on his head being upset with himself. That's too bad!

We played a great game - Pittsburgh Fans and the Steelers in general want this way to bad - we need to get to the AFC and beat the Pats - this dynasty talk has to stop
HERE WE GO STEELERS ...... HERE WE GO :cheer:

As much as I would like to agree with you Who Dey I can't. I do not think the hit was intended to put Palmer on the bench. The player was visibly upset when he hit him and saw that he had injured Palmer. Just one of those things that happen.
Several Bengals yelled at von Oelhoffen, who spent his first six seasons in Cincinnati and still counts some of the Bengals as friends.
A quote from a Bengals player....
"Guys were infuriated," right tackle Willie Anderson said. "But I know him. He's not a dirty player. His momentum just kept him going into Carson. It wasn't a dirty play."
The nose tackle explained himself on the field.
"They had every right to be upset. They lost their best player," he said. "I hope Carson gets better. My apologies to him and his family.
"I was worried about Carson. That kid deserved to play this game."

Either the hit on Palmer was an accident or that guy is a great actor. There were some cheap shots by the pitts but that wasn't one of them as far as I could see.

how bout a flag for a late hit??? and the rest of the unflagged BS that went on all freakin game! oh and by the way the ball was thrown 20 yards in the air before he was taken down! sounds like BS to me! If you could see the sports page in the cin enquirer you would see the cheap shot. happend to be the same knee that kept us from the playoffs last year

The league will fine the player if all that you are saying is true regardless if the hit was flagged or not. I have posted a quote from a Bnegals player stating it was not a cheap shot.
Let me know if and when they player is fined by the league. Then your comment has basis and it documents that the league concurs that this was a cheap shot.

It appeared to me the coaching staff did not have Kitna prepared to play. Many times in the pocket it appeared to me he had trouble reading the defense and finding secondary receivers. He is not Plamer but he is an experienced nfl QB.

Unflagged BS regarding late hits or "dirty play" will also bring fines for each player from the league...unless you are sugggesting a large conspiracy theory against the bengals. where the official and the league office has conspired against the bengals in the playoffs.

I would like to start a conspiracy theory that the league didnt want the Bucs to score and move into the Divsional game...

I agree with everything Scuba has said... as we have both stated Olhoffen was blocked into Palmer... my boss had a saying everytime someone started whinning about something uncontrolable...
"If shoulds and buts were candies and nuts, we would all have a merry xmas!"

Yeah, that definately wasn't a dirty hit. Too bad for Palmer. I hope he bounces back.....good thing he negotiated that contract before he got hurt.
Oh...by the way

Who Dey....I really hate the Steelers....HATE'EM. I 've never been a Cowher fan and was so sick of hearing about Big Ben Hamburglar......the best ever.
I do feel the hit was not a cheap shot. I also beleive that there were some questionable calls and non-calls.
As much as I hate to say this....I think Pitt would have beaten the bengals regardless. They really turned up the D in the second half and Lewis appeared lost on the sidelines. Even if Palmer remained in the game the result I think would have been the same. The sad part is we will never know.
You had a great year. I actually picked Cincy in another thread to win...I went 3-1 in playoff first round predictions....Pitt got me.
I know you' re mad...as soon as the resluts of that hit were known the chances for victory were carried off the field with the player.
