Hi Steve...for some reason my PM's do not work...
Just a couple questions...
By far your tank is the nicest I have EVER SEEN!!!
What are a few of your secrets you can share??
I am about to build a new tank in the wall that will be 96x36x24 or 72x60x24 or 96x48x24 not sure which to go with??
What type of sand did you use?
I dont understand how you set up the spraybars under the rocks...can u explain??

I'd be happy to answer any specific question that you may have...but, I need a specific question. I really don't have any secrets.... my philosophies are generally in line with those of bare-bottom reefers that believe strongly in the Berlin method of filtration....namely liverock with heavy skimming. I just have a few of my own modifications to this method of reefkeeping to help the otherwise unnatural look of most bare-bottom reefs.
My closed loop distribution system is fairly straight forward.... imagine, if you will, a pvc return pipe coming from your closed loop pump. Instead of it just shooting straight into the tank, form it into the shape of a platform. (that the liverock can sit on).. and instead of water coming out of the end of the pipe, cap the end and have the water come out openings (jets) along the way...easy.
