i'm still not sure what is wrong with my achilles tang. i've had him in hypo for almost 2 weeks now for treatment of what i thought was ich. i've also finished the 5 day treatment of Marycn-2 for bacterial infections. he still looks the same as when i first put him in QT. he appears to have what looks like small marks all over his body and face. They almost look like scars (little white marks). the marks don't appear to be raised off the surface so i don;t think its ich (it wouild have be cured anyway with the hypo for this long). the Marcyn-2 didn't seem to do anything. my last option is copper for treatment of velvet. I dont think he has velvet becasue he would be dead by now, correct? he acts like nothing is wrong. eats well, swims all around and with so appearence of "scratching" or "flicking".
So i have no idea whats wrong with him. is it possible to have scars from ich? any help would be appreciated

i thought that it might be HLLE as well however the only places that these "marks" are not showing is on the body lateralis or around the eyes. the marks are also randomly spread all over the body on the lower abdomen as well. which i think is not typical with HLLE. i do know that vitamin supp. help with HLLE so i will add some of those.

The erosion from HLLE can appear just about anywhere. Can you get a pic up.
Don't use the copper. You're right, its not velvet, so need to subject the fish to this.

this one is today, the spots on his body were visible in the first pic, but as his color faded from being in QT, they are more visible. those marks aren't raised on his body.

thanks terry, i havent's exposed this fish to copper however i don't know what the story is before i purchased him at the lfs. i also don't know if cyanide was used for collection which could account for some problems. he does raise his finnage just in the last pics i think i was scaring him with the camera. his breathing appears normal which is a good sign and today he looks a little more improved from yesterday. i will get some Zoe for the formula-2 and nori that i am curremtly feeding him. i have a large rock in there for him to hide but i think the additional pvc would help. again thanks for the advice terry, i'll keep you posted, :)
