i have been stirring up the sand to get any stuff up to the surface that crabs don't get and it started to go away. its alittle green hair and brown alage. it went away then started to come back then slowed down and now its coming back! its not much but still isn't good. hermits and emarold crabs barely even touch it.what can i do? its a ten gallon with a sea clone skimmer and a millenium filter with four crabs, starfish, four types of polpys on small rocks. the tank does get exposed to sunlight for a few hours a day so that can't help either. any ideas-i can't get ride of it..i do a 10% water change once a week to.

thanks guys--- well the tank has been set up fpr years but like three months ago i totally changed it around. got rid of all the anemone's i had in it and i put some live rock in with polpys on it and the other stuff i mentioned. the water quality is fine--and the polpys are all doing good but one always has the brown alage growing on the top of the branches that the polpys come out of and it dies off when lights are off! i have a baby clownfish i feed just alittle the rest i feed chemicals too. i use instant ocean salt for all my tanks for years.
