Still no ammonia

I added 20 lbs of semi uncured live rock (shipped to me via 3 day fedex ground) and 20 lbs of Aragalive sand to my 15 gallon (experimental) tank. The Ammonia still reads 0. Unbelievable. The Ammonia level should have spiked with the addition of that rock, right? I guess I'm going to have to add a few shrimp to the tank.

Are you talking about a newly set up tank that you are trying to cycle? You can add a few finely chopped pieces to feed your LR fuana. The rock critters do need to eat and it would be best if you fed them regularly.

Yes a newly setup tank that I am cycling. Nothing but RO water, ls, lr, heater, and a ph. Finely chopped pieces of what? LR fuana?

Just to throw this out there. When I set up my reef tank, I added LS and LR all ordered from this site and arriving 2nd day. Did I expect a cycle? Yes. Did I get one? No. That tank never cycled. Never had anything but zero across the board. So, sometimes it just happens that you don't cycle.
How did the rock smell when you put it in.

Which smells like nothing but fresh seawater, with a hint of chainmail

Was this an established tank?
When did you test after adding the live rock and sand?
How long has this tank been setup?

The rock did not smell bad at all. It smelled like fresh ocean rock.

You may never see a cycle then...and that would be good thing. Keep in mind that the rock is cured, and you have 100% LS which is full of nitrifying bacteria.
Take a look at the fish food/tank food receipe I have posted in the FAQ Thread in the Disease Forum.

Ok. Here are my details.
15 gallon tank
RO Water
Red Sea Salt
80F
1.025 sg
Penguin 100 Bio-wheel
One Maxi-Jet 600 ph
20 lbs lr (has some die off but does not smell)
20 lbs Aragalive sand (aragalive sand has 400,000,000 bacteria per 20 lb bag)
After 19 hours of cycling
Ammonia - .50
Nitrites - .50
Nitrates - 10
It seems to be going through a very fast cycle. Does this seem normal?
