My bluespot appears to be injured...or perhaps it is a fungus of some kind.
I don't have a pic to post, so I'll describe it as best I can.
The area in question is on the "hump" of her eye. It appears to be a small skin tear. At first it looked like debris stuck to her, but I noticed one of the blue spots was torn away an ragged. The area is about 1/8 inch in diameter.
I've never had a problem with her before, I just noticed it tonight when getting her ready to feed.
Still has a voracious appetite...and ate everything I gave her tonight.
She lives in a 180g, good water parameters, 3" DSB, NO decor or LR of any kind.
I'm thinking she hurt herself on the heater maybe? Or does this sound more like a fungus? And if it sounds like a fungus, where the heck did it come from? There's nothing in the tank but soft sand!
In any case, what to do? Watch and wait? Treat immediately, and if so, I would appreciate advice on treatments.
I'm quite worried, but not in a panic...yet. Thank you.
