stingray question

i was wondering if the stingrays in stores are venemous? if they are how do u stick your hand in the tank and not get hurt? or when u have to handle it? do u take it out? :help: :help: :help: :help:

it all depends on the type of ray I supose I have a cali ray and yes it has it barbs below his tail, as for handling him I use a net, as for working in my tank around him he loves to be petted right between his eyes, just dont touch the rear end of the ray and you should be safe.they are very gentle animals in my book.

For most stingrays I had they would never try to sting me. I had feed my cali never flared his tail once. But that doesnt mean they nwont use them cuz they do.
