Stingray Questions??

I have recently acquired two tanks, and have decided to make one into a stingray DT and the other is going to be a sump tank. The stingray tank would be for some small stingray and some fish, It has alot of surface area and I think it would make a great tank. Im not going to put much liverock in the tank though. I am attaching the other 90 gallon tank for like some type of filtration, I'm thinking some sort of refuge with mangroves and other macro algae.
Is Macro Algae ok with stingrays?
What kind of filtration would be needed? is it ok to use a G-2 skimmer?
Is a refuge ok for the stingray?
I have the sharks and rays book, but I wanted to get some input on keeping stingrays.

yes it is fine with rays

dpeneding on the tank size you want to "overfiltrate" since they are big eaters and produce a high bioload
Is a refuge ok for the stingray?
i run a fuge , a carbon filter and a skimmer rated for 520 gallons
i have two stingrays so any questions i can try to help you out from my eperience
the othere thing with stingrays is what fish you also have with them, let me know your plans and ic an try to help
