Stock list for a 300 gallon

Hi all pretty new to saltwater fish but have done freshwater for a number of years. My question is what would you consider a good reef stocklist as far as fish go. I havent decided but could also do an agressive instead. tank perimeters are good with a 75 gallon sump. Let me know what you think would be a nice list. Finances isnt that big of an issue but definitely dont want to over do it. I know dont add them all at the same time and everything. Ive been reading this board and many others for 8 months Id guess. So not a total newbie.LMK Thanks Beat

Well, the good thing is that you are starting out with such a large tank and you have been researching.
Are you looking for more of a Trigger type tank? Or tangs, or what?
Why don't you make a list of fish you like, and I can help you cut down to the fish that would suit your tank.
If it were me, I would most def. put either a clown trigger or a queen angel.
Another suggestion is puffers, if you have a fancy for them.
I personally do not like them.

Well I like the Naso Tang and the queen angel but I also want some inverts so that pretty much will eliminate the triggers. And if its gonna be a reef there goes the angel. Its just got the strip lights as of now but will look into halides sooner or later, so pretty much will need to be reef safe invert safe. So basically what would you put in your tank if it was yours. A full stock list and by the way thanks for answering I appreciate it. I know its a broad question but really unsure what Im wanting at the moment. Peaceful or aggressive and input would be great Thanks Beat

Well, A naso tang is on your list. They are really nice fish.
So, how about a school of anthias?
Clownfish?
Blue Hippo Tang?
Sailfin Tang?
Vlamingi Tang?

well the venome is not deadly. it feels similar to a bee sting. i think the risk is worth it if u like the foxface. just be carefull at feeding time he got a little close and i moved my finger into one of his spines.

It feels like a bee sting x20.
Take it from someone who has ownded a LFS before, and has gotten stinged OVER 25 times, and then decided he was going to carry them anymore.
