I am converting my 20g to SW. This is a preliminary fish list please let me know if it will be overcrowded?
ocellaris clown
yellow watchman
royal gramma
LMB- after a couple of months when the tank is well established
Please let me know what would be a good cleanup crew for this bioload?
Wanna get a couple of shrimp too, possibly 2 skunk cleaners and a sexy shrimp- Will the cleaners pair with the ywg?
Any opinions and advice are appreciated, thanks

I would say 3 fish would be fine, 4 might be streching it. I believe you could keep two cleaners without a problem.
Id also add some hermits, Nass snails, maybe an Astrea snail or 2.
The yellow watchman develops a relationship with "pistol shrimp" in which they share a burrow.

Thank you for responding. How many of each snail/ hermit crab for the cleanup, or did you just mean 1 of each

I think it's a little overcrowded. In my 29 I'm thinking 3 fish maybe, maybe, 4.
Have you considered a pair of clownfish? Most won't have ocellaris unless they have 2. If you must have more fish the clown gobies stay very small and thus add very little to the bioload.
I'm planning in the beginning: 5-10 zebra hermits, 5-10 scarlet hermits, 5-10 nassarius snails, and 5-10 astraea snails. I'll add more if they can't keep up. As for shrimp I want 1-2 cleaner and 1 fire shrimp.

thank you for your help and speedy responses
not that i dont trust your advice on the cleanup crew, but just want to hear a couple of second opinions just to make sure I don't starve these guys. Nick thanks again, very much appreciated
Anyone else have an opinion on the proper number of cleaners for this size tank and bioload?

I would pass on a LMB. They would most likely starve. They also are kind of big when grown.
