Stocking help

I am new to saltwater but have had lots of freshwater take's. I want to setup a 55 gallon 48x13x21 tank but don't know how to go about stocking it. It well be a fish only tank here is what I had in mind to put in it. 1 Coral Beauty Angel, 1 Royal Gramma , Pixy Hawkfish 1 Yellow Watchmen , and a Red Banded Pistol Shrimp. Well this work and if not what do you think I should go with.

A 55g is a really small SW tank. If you can, start with a 75g, it's wider and will be much better for you. As for stocking it...LOL..there are so many fish in the sea. get this book.

It is a very good book. It belongs in the beginners book list thread.

I have a good book on saltwater fish just looking for a list of fish to be good to start with. I have a 30 gallon frashwater tank and a 55 gallon tank that I want to make it a saltwater tank. The fish I was wanting the most is the Coral Beauty Angel and a Pixy Hawkfish plus a Royal Gramma.

Different books will tell you varying things about different fish.
Same with people. They have different opinions and favorites.
In the long run, you have to do your own thorough research on the care, feeding and ease of care.

In regard to those 3 fish. Ive have them all in my 75 and they get along fine. The most aggressive of the 3 will be the angel
