Stocking Question...

Hey everyone, I wanted to get some insight or opinions on my next tank addition or two..
Heres what I have
55gal, swt, wet/dry filter, skimmer and running a fluval 404
cc bottom with...
15 lbs of live fiji rock
15 lbs or live marshal island rock
15 lbs of live tongo rock
1 small yellow tang
1 small porupine puffer
1 small clown perc.
I was thinking of a small clown trigger or a

[hr]
trigger, maybe an eel but then i need a secure top peice for the tank... I just want some more opinions...
I am looking for something to add some cool look to my tank. Obviously it has to be a small to medium fish.
And before people say anything about the size of the tank, I am going to move everything to a 210 gal in July when I close on my new house... plenty of more room for everything...

A clown trigger is one of the most aggressive of the triggers. I would not recommend it with the clownfish or tang, or frankly with the puffer either. There are other triggers that may be a bit more docile - humuhumu, picasso or something.
IMO, you should decide if you want to go with larger aggressive fish or stick with some smaller reef type fish. Right now it seems you might be trying to do a little of both, which may or may not work.

Thanks O.
Well I really like the puffer, tang and clown and they have been togehter for alittle while with no territory disputes....
Is there something that would fit in the mix that I have, like the humuhumu is a nice looking fish.
or should i stay away from the triggers and go for smaller more docile fish?
also is there any type of invert i can put in the tank with the puffer?

try the niger or the pinktail they are the most docile of all the triggers and they have good personalities. i'm afraid though you won't be able to put any inverts unless you have hiding places. i had a coral banded shrimp and a bunch of hermits with my porcupine but my coral banded was huge. but usually puffers eat this kind of inverts as well. mine might have been the exception who knows. but with the triggers no shrimps at all but hermits would probably do ok and maybe star fish. you just have to try it and make sure there are PLENTY of hiding places.

I like flamehawks, spanish hogfish and flame angels. they would all be fine in your tank as long as your upgrading in the summer.

I would also suggest the Niger trigger, they are very peaceful and would compliment the other fish well.
